Numinous Non-Sense 1.0

I’ve decided to begin the basic ITP practice beginning tomorrow, which includes an hour of meditation per day, 4 weightlifting sessions each week, and a cognitive component (mainly reading). I’m following a hookey looking workout program called Muscle Now, which is actually an excellent system. I’m going to be measuring the objective results of the workout program (via measurements of my waist, muscles, and weight), and I will know I’m successful with the meditation if I sit everyday for an hour. Subjectively I will use this blog to share any differences (positive or negative) that I am experiencing. I plan on following this system (which could modify slightly over time) until the end of the year. My girlfriend has decided she’s going to play along too…

As someone who has been on an ITP-like program for a year and a half or so – the main thing I noticed, is that yoga, working out, meditation, and cardio, are very good for balancing the body-mind. Especially at the beginning, when combined with a good diet, you start to simply feel good. You get used to sort of an ongoing endorphin mini-high…
