New Movie on The Buddha

Looks like there could be a well-funded movie made on the Buddha’s life in the near future:

Dalai Lama, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and new age guru Deepak Chopra may come together soon to make a film on Buddha.

Modi said filming might begin early next year and the project would be ready by end of 2005. [BNN]

They have $50 million dollars for the venture and apparently the Dalai Lama called upon some of his Hollywood homedawgs to help out with the project (Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, & Goldie Hawn). Where you at Keanu?
