I plan on doing a little more mobile work over the coming months. Because I’ve gotten into the GTD productivity system, I figured it would make sense to create a mobile workstation. Here are the following items that will be in my workstation:
- Computer Bookbag
- Macbook & Powercord
- Inbox Folder
- Home & Work Folders
- iPhone - mobility squared
- iPhone Computer Adapter
- Earbud headphones
- Rode Podcaster Mic - Just in case I have to do some interviews on the road
- Pad of Paper
- Post-it Notes
- Pens
It would also be nice to bring along a camera, but my Nikon is HUGE, and I can’t seem to find the battery charger. Ah well, I guess I’ll just have the use the iPhone’s camera. My dad said he might be flying me out to NYC in the next month or so, so maybe I’ll have the chance to test out my mobile workstation.

Got the IPhone myself, a couple of weeks ago. (Check it - right when Jobs announced the reduction in price, I immediately went over, grabbed one of the remaining 4 GB that were selling like hotcakes (gone within a few hours at the main Stockton store). Combined with the fact that I had a $300 Apple gift certificate, my total cost on the phone was tax, or 25 bucks.
Back to the ease of use - Easiest alarm, timer, and reminder system by far, especially when getting messages pumped from Google Calender to the I-Phone.
