I recently re-launched this site, and wanted to share a little about what has changed, and why it has changed. Firstly, I’ve changed the title of this site from Numinous Nonsense—my first title from when I started posting way back in the blogging stone-ages of 2003—to my name. I did this because this site has become more of a portal for the various projects I’m working on, and less a blog. In the past couple years I’ve been blogging less, I think because the nature of the web has changed and micro-media services like Facebook and Twitter now fulfill a lot of the need that blogging initially served. That said, I’ll still be posting original content to my blog, it just won’t be all that frequently.
Another exciting change is that I’m now offering meditation instruction and some specialized consulting. I’ve just recently moved into a role of formally supporting people with their meditation practice. This came about in part with the support of my insight meditation teachers, and also from Kenneth Folk and Daniel Ingram who were kind enough to support me in teaching in their unique lineage of hardcore dharma. And while Daniel warned me about not getting too caught up in “lineage,” I will say it’s an honor to be the 1st lineage holder (that I know about) of both these phenomenal teachers.
So moving forward with meditation teaching, my wife and I are starting a meditation community in Asheville, NC this summer, and I’m also working with people individually from all over the world. On the sidebar you’ll see the events I’ll be leading, or helping lead. I’m really happy to take what I’ve learned from the past several years of intensive practice and study and supporting others in discovering the same wisdom for themselves.
Finally, because I get so many questions from people on how they can make their websites better, how their spiritual community could take advantage social media, how to start a podcast, etc. I’ve decided that I need to start charging for my time and expertise. For those who want my dedicated time (and genius
) in the area of web technology and media you can see more on the consulting page. Oh, and in case you’re wondering (cause I know you were) I did in fact build this new website from the ground up. A huge thanks to Chelsea Brady for the new logo!
Thanks again for all the people who follow my activity here, and who support and challenge me as an individual. It’s amazing when I think of how many close and lasting friendships I’ve made through this website. It just goes to show that the interweb really can enhance the things that matter most.

Best of luck in your new role as a meditation teacher!
very cool re-design, dawg. and deep bows to the first lineage holder of the hardcore dharma order!

Hi Vince, many blessings with your new role in teaching meditation. May you benefit many with your skillful means!
Congrats on the new Web site and teaching and consulting ventures, Vince. The site looks fantastic! It’s also great to know you’ll be starting the new community in Asheville, which isn’t TOO far from Atlanta, after all.
Best of luck!
How exciting Vince! Best of luck in your new ventures, and thank you for all the work you do!
