August 2005

Just as I forecasted (hehehe), I-I has just intonated at another series of products and sites that will be launched soon. This time it is with the brochure site launch of MyILP.com, ILP being short for Integral Life Practice, the new name for Integral Transformative Practice. Apparently we didn’t want to step on the toes of Michael Murphy and George Leonard who were the first to use ITP in a practical sense.

In any case, MyILP.com highlights the integral workshops that’ve been happening for a while, as well as a new product called “The Integral Life Practice Home Study Kit: A 4-DVD set with the essential tools to start your own ILP.” Hmmm… And “Integral Coaching: Work on your personal issues and questions one-on-one, with an ‘I-I certified’ Integral coach.” Yes, we’ve been busy behind the scenes, and don’t worry, I’m not an Integral coach!

If I may bring your attention to a few minor updates on my blog. One is that I’ve removed the Technorati search function, which utterly sucked ass, and brought back the Google search function (at the bottom of the right hand column). Two is that I’ve added by good friend Lyon’s blog to my blogroll, and third is that I’ve used a wonderful Blogger Hack to have my archive list (on the right side) be in a drop-down menu. There were something like 20 months listed, so I’ve been wondering how to shorten that, so thanks to the Blogger folks for pointing this hack out.

Kind of a corny name right? Well, that’s what Ken & I-I are calling a new multimedia product that’s supposed to jump your start of understanding AQAL theory*. It’s part book, part video, & part audio, and was designed by one of my peeps here @ I-I. Should be interesting, and most likely the first of many more multimedia projects to come….

* = For those of you unfamiliar with AQAL (which stands for: All Quadrants, Levels, Lines, States, & Types), it basically points to various elements that need to be recognized in order to have a truly integral approach to something. Of course, this is Ken’s theoretical opinion and we have yet to see how this will play out in the world.

Up on the Integral Spiritual Center site is a new section called Teacher Reflections. It is a collection of reflections from the ISC Event that happened last month, directly from the teachers who were participating.

I’d say that Sunday was a demonstration of what post-metaphysical spirituality is about—a meta-satsang into which different traditions pour their wisdom and energy, and through which something emerges that is new, and so much more than the sum of its parts. - Sally Kempton
